JPMorganChase in Jersey City is seeking a Principal Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank Post Trade Technology. You will contribute engineering excellence on an agile team to build trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will leverage advanced technical capabilities, collaborate across the organization, and lead the adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering practices while ensuring governance, security, and resiliency across portfolios.

Qualifications

Formally trained in software engineering with 7+ years of hands-on experience.
Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience leading cross-functional technologists teams.
Experience with agentic AI-enabled engineering practices and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use and governance in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead technology and process implementations to meet functional technology objectives.
Accountable for resource, budget, and operational governance decisions.
Set direction for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation with guardrails across teams.
Apply SDLC tools and enterprise AI-assisted development to improve automation and capacity unlocking.
Govern coding decisions, cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
Deliver scalable technical solutions usable across multiple domains.
Influence senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
