Job summary

The Town of Collierville seeks a Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services to provide executive leadership for the department, including strategic planning, master planning for parks, capital projects, and partnerships to enhance community well‑being.

The ideal candidate will have seven years of municipal parks and recreation management experience, a relevant degree, CPRP certification, and a valid driver’s license; the role requires occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Seven (7) years progressively responsible municipal parks and recreation management experience, including three (3) years in a senior leadership role.
• CPRP certification required or must obtain within 12 months; CPRE and CAPRA accreditation experience preferred; CPSI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Parks and Recreation Department.
• Oversee capital improvement projects, asset management, park and facility design, and lifecycle planning.
• Develop and implement department-wide strategic and parks master plans; ensure compliance and safety.
