The ideal candidate will have seven years of municipal parks and recreation management experience, a relevant degree, CPRP certification, and a valid driver’s license; the role requires occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Seven (7) years progressively responsible municipal parks and recreation management experience, including three (3) years in a senior leadership role.
  • CPRP certification required or must obtain within 12 months; CPRE and CAPRA accreditation experience preferred; CPSI desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Parks and Recreation Department.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects, asset management, park and facility design, and lifecycle planning.
  • Develop and implement department-wide strategic and parks master plans; ensure compliance and safety.
