Job summary

The Overnight Camp Executive Director of Camp Kanata reports to YMCA of the Triangle leadership. This role leads strategic and operational efforts for the premier overnight camp, driving community partnerships, staff development, and program excellence in alignment with the YMCA’s mission.

Responsibilities include overseeing year-round operations, fundraising, budget management, and board engagement, while fostering inclusion, innovation, and a high-performing culture in Wake Forest, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; eight years of progressive management experience preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, board relations, and mult-site operations.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic community engagement and partnerships to support mission impact.
• Lead overnight camp leadership and staff development with inclusive practices.
• Oversee budget, fundraising, and philanthropic initiatives for annual campaigns.
• Ensure program quality, safety, and accreditation alignment.
• Guide annual planning, board engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
