Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking an Executive Director of Originations in Los Angeles to lead sourcing, structuring, and closing of CRE debt opportunities. You will own the deal lifecycle from first call to close, managing relationships with borrowers and brokers nationwide, while guiding junior originators and collaborating with underwriters and analysts.

The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of CRE originations experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a proven track record of loan closings.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Executive Director of Originations to join our team. This role is ideal for the self-driven commercial real estate professional who takes ownership of their pipeline, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is dedicated to delivering consistent results.

As an Originator, you will assume direct origination responsibilities upon joining including sourcing and structuring CRE debt opportunities, managing borrower/broker relationships, and driving deals from first call to close.

We're seeking demonstrated experience having successfully originated and negotiated loans as evidenced by a strong track record of closings over the past several years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and originate commercial real estate debt opportunities across diverse property types and markets.
• Take full ownership of all aspects of the deal life cycle including borrower engagement, structuring, due diligence, and closing.
• Develop, manage, and grow a network of direct borrowers, brokers, and industry partners.
• Effectively collaborate with leadership on deal strategy, structuring, and execution to ensure best-in-class outcomes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in finance, real estate, or a related field.
• 8-15 years of direct CRE experience with a focus on originations
• Responsible for the origination of commercial loans via relationships with brokers and borrowers
• Develop and maintain origination network of direct borrowers and brokers nationwide
• Evaluate loan opportunities. Underwrite structure, negotiate loan documentation, syndications/hedging, and monitor closing processes
• Present transactions, risk assessments and recommendations to senior management and credit committee
• Manage team of Junior Originators and work closely with team of Underwriters/Analysts

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$250,000.00 - $300,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
