Job summary

Blue Ridge Cancer Care (BRCC) seeks an Executive Director to lead a high-performing community-based oncology practice, driving growth, operational excellence, and an outstanding patient and employee experience in partnership with physicians and clinical leaders.

You will serve as the senior operations leader, shaping culture and strategy, overseeing a broad leadership team, and ensuring financial and performance success in collaboration with The US Oncology Network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or MHA strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of healthcare management and operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term strategic and operating plans, including growth, efficiency, cost management, quality, and talent development.
• Serve as a trusted partner to physician leadership, ensuring alignment between practice strategy and The US Oncology Network’s objectives.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with hospital systems and external partners, driving collaborative initiatives.
• Champion a high-engagement culture rooted in trust, collaboration, accountability, and a positive patient experience.
• Oversee and develop a senior leadership team across operations, clinical services, HR, marketing, payer strategy, pharmacy, and research.
• Ensure strong financial performance, operational discipline, and effective performance management processes.
• Advise the Practice President, Joint Policy Board, and Regional Senior Vice President on business conditions, risks, and opportunities.

Education
