Audubon Companies is seeking a Director of Construction Operations to lead planning, execution, and turnover of oil and gas projects across multiple sites. You will guide Construction Managers, Site Managers, and field teams to meet safety, schedule, and budget targets while delivering high‑quality outcomes.

This senior role requires strong client relationship skills, collaboration with engineering, procurement, and project controls, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in construction management or director-level roles in the Midstream Sector.
• Experience with EPC projects and standalone construction projects.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all construction operations for oil & gas projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and successful execution from mobilization through turnover.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Construction Managers, Site Managers, and field supervision teams across multiple projects and locations.
• Champion a culture of safety excellence by ensuring compliance with policies, client requirements, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement construction execution strategies that align with project objectives and contractual commitments.
• Oversee field productivity, labor utilization, and resource deployment to maximize efficiency and achieve targets.
• Drive construction planning including staffing, equipment, logistics, work packaging, and site execution plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project controls, and PM teams to ensure constructability, schedule adherence, and effective delivery.
• Monitor progress against KPIs, including labor productivity, earned vs burned hours, cost performance, and schedule milestones.
• Lead resolution of field execution challenges, scope changes, and risks while protecting safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure QA/QC requirements, codes, client specs, and regulatory standards are followed.
• Review schedules, look-ahead plans, S-curves, manpower forecasts, and productivity reports to identify trends and actions.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to contracts and safety and quality requirements.
• Facilitate regular construction meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to review progress and address issues.
• Support project financial performance by monitoring labor costs, field budgets, productivity metrics, and change management.
• Lead workforce development initiatives by mentoring construction leaders and promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive adoption of innovative construction methods and technologies to enhance execution and performance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as senior construction representative for client satisfaction and outcomes.
• Support business development by providing construction expertise during proposals, estimating reviews, and execution planning.
• Ensure successful turnover through punch lists, commissioning support, turnover docs and closeout.
