Job summary

St. Camillus, a Catholic Life Plan Community serving older adults in the Milwaukee area, seeks an Executive Director of Hospice Services. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and advance a Catholic mission-focused hospice program with strong governance and community partnerships.

The role emphasizes strategic growth, regulatory excellence, and budget stewardship within a mission-driven nonprofit setting. The ideal leader inspires compassion, accountability, and collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required and Wisconsin RN license.
• 5+ years hospice or home health experience with strong regulatory knowledge.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in hospice or a related healthcare setting.
• Deep knowledge of CoPs, accreditation standards, surveys and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary team including nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and physicians.
• Drive quality improvement, survey readiness, and compliance with federal and state regulations and CoPs.
• Develop budgets, manage financial performance, and make strategic program decisions.
• Build relationships with referral sources and community partners across the Milwaukee area.

What You'll Do

This isn't a \"maintain the status quo\" role. It's a build, shape, and lead role.

• Lead the heart of our hospice. Guide a passionate interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and physicians.


• Set the standard for excellence. Drive quality improvement, survey readiness, and full compliance with federal and state regulations and CoPs.


• Own the vision and the numbers. Develop budgets, manage financial performance, and make strategic decisions that strengthen the program for years to come.


• Be the face of our mission. Build meaningful relationships with referral sources, providers, and community partners across the Milwaukee area.

Is This You?

You have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)


• A current Wisconsin RN license


• 5+ years of hospice or home health experience with strong regulatory knowledge


• 3+ years of leadership experience in hospice or a related healthcare setting

• Deep expertise in CoPs, accreditation standards, surveys, and audits


• Leading clinical operations, quality initiatives, documentation, and IDT performance


• Managing budgets and driving strong operational and financial results
