Job summary

Brasada Ranch is seeking a Director of Events to lead the Event Planning Team and Banquet Operations, guiding the full lifecycle from sales through flawless on-site execution. This senior role reports to the Hotel General Manager and sits on the Executive Committee.

The ideal candidate blends planning and hands-on banquet experience, capable of linking guest expectations with operational delivery to create seamless, memorable, and profitable events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field; professional experience considered.
• 5–7 years in event planning, conference services, or catering sales at luxury resorts.
• 3+ years hands-on banquet operations or F&B management.
• 3+ years in a senior leadership or department head role.
• Experience at a Four Diamond property preferred.
• Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams in a fast-paced resort environment.
• Executive presence and communication for leadership and client-facing settings.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events and priorities.
• Financial acumen including experience managing department P&Ls, labor costs, and budget forecasting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Event Planning Team with workload balance.
• Set department goals, KPIs, and service standards for all reports.
• Owns event design, décor, lighting, and brand-aligned concepts.
• Manage calendar, P&L, and on-site ownership for groups.
• Collaborate with Marketing and other departments to represent programming accurately.
• Ensure timely, clear communication across teams during events.
• Champion workforce planning and succession within the department.
• Serve as liaison with resort departments to ensure operational alignment.
