Job summary

The Methow Valley Nordic Ski Educational Foundation (MVNSEF) seeks an Executive Director to lead its mission of sharing Nordic skiing with the Methow Valley community. The role calls for strategic oversight, fundraising leadership, and strong collaboration with staff, the board, and partners.

The Executive Director will guide strategic planning, manage finances, and represent MVNSEF at events, while fostering a thriving cross-country skiing and biathlon community for youth and adults alike.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and with others.
• Collaborative team player and decisive leader.
• A love and appreciation for the outdoors, cross-country skiing, and/or biathlon.
• Experience in nonprofit work, organizational development and leadership, or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and guides the organization’s strategic direction in close partnership with the Board.
• Supports regular updates to the organization’s strategic plan.
• Builds and executes annual fundraising strategies for financial health.
• Builds relationships with members and partners, including donors and volunteers.
• Manages donor records and donor appreciation efforts.
• Plans and executes events in collaboration with the Board, staff, and volunteers.
• Represents the organization at public events.
• Serves as the overall organizational leader and manager.
• Directly supervise staff and oversee recruitment and development.
