Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking an Executive Director of Clinical Development to serve as the clinical lead for the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma program within the Clinical Development organization. The role is based in Somerset, New Jersey and requires deep hematology/oncology expertise to shape lymphoma strategy and execute integrated development plans.

Qualifications

• MD/MD-PhD or equivalent medical degree required; board certification in hematology or oncology is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of clinical development experience in biopharma and/or academic medicine, with substantial hematologic malignancies experience; NHL strongly preferred.
• Designing and leading early clinical development programs including first-in-human studies, dose escalation, and proof-of-concept.
• Experience with cell therapy modalities (CAR-T, in vivo therapies) and IND submissions/regulatory interactions.
• Ability to translate complex medical and regulatory information into clear clinical development strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical lead for the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma program across development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute integrated clinical development plans including indication strategy and biomarker strategy.
• Lead design, execution, monitoring, and reporting of FIH, dose-escalation, dose-expansion, and POC studies.
• Contribute to late-stage development strategies, pivotal study design, and regulatory planning.
• Provide medical oversight for study conduct, safety review, and data interpretation.
• Collaborate with translational science, regulatory, safety/pharmacovigilance, biostatistics, and operations to ensure integrated plans.
• Engage with investigators and external experts to support execution, enrollment strategy, and program visibility.
• Represent NHL program in governance forums, leadership reviews, regulatory interactions, and BD discussions.
