Job summary

University Health Retama Hospital seeks an Executive Director to oversee the ICU and Medical Surgical Units, reporting under the Chief Nursing Officer. You will direct daily operations for 120 beds across ICU and MSU, drive QAPI initiatives, and engage with regional management bodies to improve patient care.

The role requires a nursing leadership background, Texas RN licensure, and advanced certification. Magnet experience and community hospital exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and Texas RN license required (Magnet).
• Master’s degree or enrollment in a master’s program.
• 1
• National certification in related field required.

Responsibilities

• Manages programs and runs monthly Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI).
• Participates in regional and national management organizations to stay informed on patient care issues.
