Job summary

NEOMED in Northeast Ohio seeks an Executive Director for the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Experience (AIDE). This high-impact leadership role will guide a multidisciplinary team, establish core operations, and drive the development and deployment of human-centered AI across clinical workflow, research, education, and innovation.

The Executive Director collaborates with University Hospitals and NEOMED leadership, builds governance and strategy, and manages a $5–6M annual budget

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership in AI, data science, digital health, or related fields.
• Experience developing and deploying AI/ML/DL solutions in real-world environments.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, personnel, and operations.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate vision into actionable strategy with measurable outcomes.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team (up to 15 FTE).
• Oversee $5-6M annual budget and resource allocation.
• Develop internal processes for project intake, prioritization, delivery, and evaluation.
• Advance governance, ethics, and responsible AI across the center.
• Foster partnerships with industry, startups, and peer institutions.
