Job summary

NEOMED in Ohio seeks a Director, AI Studio, to lead the Center for AIDE's AI product strategy, architecture, and development across research, operations and innovation.

You will oversee AI model development, governance, and partnerships, guiding a portfolio of large-scale initiatives while ensuring regulatory alignment with institutional priorities. This hybrid role supports collaboration across medical education and clinical programs and offers opportunities for ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in CS/data science/AI/engineering or related field.
• 7+ years building and managing product or technology initiatives.
• 2+ years leading AI/ML or data science initiatives.
• 3+ years healthcare/academic medicine or similarly complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience in product strategy, technical architecture, and cross-functional team leadership.
• Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in clinical or health system settings.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals (Generative AI, NLP, CV), coding in R and Python, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure/Databricks), AI tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Hugging Face), and Git/GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision for the AI Products and Technology Core, including scalable AI-enabled products.
• Lead front-end product lifecycle activities from concept to validation and deployment.
• Establish architecture standards for interoperability and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee AI model development and implementation for performance and quality.
• Direct portfolio of high-impact initiatives addressing research, clinical priorities, and operations.
• Lead resource allocation and execution planning for initiatives, including pilots to commercialization.
• Develop core processes for AI product development, including governance and risk management.
• Supervise personnel supporting the portfolio and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
