Job summary

Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition (MFFC) seeks an Executive Director to lead a community-rooted nonprofit focused on healthy food access, active living, and youth development in Mattapan. The ED will build on a strong foundation, partner with TSNE, and steer fundraising, programs, and alliances with residents and funders.

The next ED will guide equity-driven strategy, diversify funding, strengthen the Advisory Board, and invest in staff while centering community voice in every decision.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a nonprofit, public health, or community-based organization with staff supervision and budget management.
• Experience working with a board and governance structures.
• Strong organizational leadership with ability to align programs, finances, people, and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to advance MFFC’s mission.
• Lead fundraising efforts in partnership with staff and Advisory Board; cultivate foundations, government agencies, health systems, and donors.
• Strengthen board relations, governance, and strategic planning to support growth and sustainability.
• Represent MFFC publicly to residents, funders, policymakers, and partners, broadening visibility and impact.
• Oversee staff development and cross‑functional teamwork within a collaborative work culture.
