The Havenwood programs offer world-class trauma treatment to children who would not otherwise receive care . We’re currently seeking an Executive Director to lead a new business unit in the Midwest or Eastern United States.

Your Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to build and lead something that matters. You will steward a mission-driven organization, develop an exceptional team and culture, drive operational and clinical excellence, and directly impact the lives of vulnerable young people and their families.

The right leader is purpose-driven, accountable, emotionally intelligent, and execution-oriented. This role offers substantial autonomy, executive-level influence, meaningful financial upside, and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy through lives transformed.

As the executive director at Havenwood we expect to see:

  • Decisiveness: Leaders at Havenwood make the right decisions rapidly.
  • Teamability: Effectively collaborates, contributes, and adapts within a team setting, prioritizing group success over personal agenda.
  • Resilience & Grit: This is a challenging role that can require prolonged intensity. The right leader will have the ability to show up with energy each day, even while things are difficult.
  • A plow horse, not a show horse: If you’re here for the blue ribbons and business lunches, this job isn’t for you. The right leader will have exceptional output and enjoy the daily grind on-site.

A day in the life:

We serve high-acuity clients 24/7/365. This role requires a strong on-site presence, with the flexibility to be available after hours, as the needs of the program demand. Expect an exciting role where every day is unique. The schedule will likely include 15-25 hours in meetings and 1:1s each week. The rest of the time is typically highly variable, and will include hiring/firing/talent activities, taking care of parent and student concerns, "rounding" the program, meeting with licensing, marketing activities, and frequent after hours phone calls and support.

What Success Looks Like:

  • eNPS & tNPS (Search net promoter score for an explanation) in healthy ranges
  • Enrollment Levels and program completion rates at 90%+ of target capacity
  • Profitability within 3 months of program opening (the last program achieved this in 12 days – we will help you do this!)
