Job summary

Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy in Chicago seeks an Executive Director to lead organizational sustainability, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. You will steward donor relationships, guide strategic planning, and ensure program growth aligned with the mission.

You will supervise three director-level positions, partner with the Board for onboarding and transitions, and drive a culture of growth and joy while advancing racial justice through community programs and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor stewardship.
• Ability to develop and implement organizational strategy.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Organizational Sustainability: Responsible for financial and operational sustainability of the organization.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and steward long-term relationships with donors, funders, and partners.
• Management: Supervise three director-level positions and foster professional growth.
• Board Partner and Liaison: Primary contact for the Board and smooth leadership transitions.
• Strategic Planning: Lead implementation of the strategic plan and program development tracking.
• Fundraising: Lead all fundraising initiatives, including donor stewardship, events, and grants.
