Job summary

Community Library Sedona seeks an Executive Director to guide growth, innovation, and community connection for Sedona and the Verde Valley. The role demands strategic leadership, strong financial acumen, and collaborative board engagement.

With two locations and a $2.2M FY27 operating budget, the library is also pursuing a $7.2M capital campaign. The next director will lead fundraising, donor relations, and capital projects while sustaining a healthy organizational culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution is required.
• Five or more years of senior executive leadership experience in a public library or library-support organization.
• Strong relationship-building and community engagement skills; proven financial management and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the library’s strategic vision with the Board of Directors and drive organizational excellence.
• Advance fundraising, major donor cultivation, and the capital campaign efforts to sustain and grow the library.
• Build partnerships across the Verde Valley, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure effective governance and stewardship.
