Job summary

Community Library Sedona seeks an Executive Director to guide its nonprofit public library through growth, innovation, and community connection in Sedona and the Verde Valley.

The successful candidate will advance the capital campaign, strengthen donor relations, activate revitalized spaces, and establish a clear, staff-focused culture to bring the library’s ambitious vision to life for the community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Five or more years of senior executive leadership experience in a public library or library-support organization.
• Experience leading nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, capital campaigns or major gift fundraising, and working with governing boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic vision with the Board to advance library growth and impact.
• Strengthen financial sustainability and lead philanthropic efforts, including major donor cultivation and capital campaigns.
• Build partnerships throughout the Verde Valley and advocate for the library’s mission.
• Foster a collaborative, staff-focused culture with clear priorities and measurable goals.
