Job summary

STEAM:CODERS, based in Pasadena, leads hands-on coding, robotics, engineering, AI and technology programs for underserved K-12 students. As Executive Director you will steer strategy, fundraising, community partnerships, and program oversight to sustain growth and broaden impact.

Reporting to the Advisory Board, you will build infrastructure, diversify revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and raise the organization’s visibility in Pasadena and beyond while guiding a passionate team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in nonprofit leadership positions for at least five years.
• Proven fundraising success across multiple revenue streams including grants, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and individual giving.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with donors, community leaders, public agencies, and partners.
• Experience developing and implementing organizational or strategic plans.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and oversight.
• Experience supervising staff and fostering collaborative culture.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and public speaking skills; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational strategy, fundraising, community engagement, and program oversight.
• Support board development, strategic planning, and growth initiatives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across foundations, corporations, major donors, and events.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, funders, and community investors; steward existing supporters.
• Oversee program quality, staff development, and data-driven continuous improvement.
