Job summary

Janicki Industries seeks a Director of Contracts to lead the contracts function during aerospace/defense growth. This on-site role in Sedro-Woolley, WA requires oversight of proposals, negotiations, and contract administration, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and security requirements.

Responsibilities include shaping contracting strategies, mitigating risk, and guiding a high-performing contracts team while collaborating with executive leadership, Business Development, and Program Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible Government contracts experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting.
• Expertise in FAR, DFARS, and other federal acquisition regulations.
• Proven success negotiating complex Government and commercial agreements.
• Experience advising executives and influencing strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of Government and commercial contract management.
• Serve as primary contractual advisor to executive leadership.
• Oversee proposal review, contract structuring, negotiation, and administration.
• Partner with Business Development and Capture to support pursuits and pricing strategies.
• Interpret FAR/DFARS to protect company interests and ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain policies and systems related to contracts oversight.
