Job summary

Moody’s is seeking an Executive Director in New York to lead a global team of quantitative analysts and applied statisticians. You will shape modelling practices and analytics across Moody’s Ratings, reporting to the Head of Modelling & Quantitative Analytics.

The role emphasizes quantitative judgment, strategic leadership, and responsible AI use. You will build strong relationships across business, analytics, technology and control functions, translate stakeholder needs into action, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in Credit modeling, statistics or validation.
• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Math or Statistics or equivalent.
• Experience managing global quantitative teams and diverse skillsets.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence models and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead model development, calibration, maintenance and enhancement.
• Develop strategic quantitative solutions for Moody's rating process.
• Partner with senior leaders to align priorities and design rationale.
• Oversee the model development pipeline and report progress to leadership.
• Identify improvements that reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Build and retain a high-performing global quantitative team.
• Advance responsible AI and ML in model development.
• Foster inclusion and collaborative decision-making across functions.
• Set clear leadership example and maintain integrity.
