Job summary

Moody’s Investors Service is seeking an Executive Director to lead a global team of quantitative analysts and applied statisticians responsible for developing, calibrating and enhancing models used in the rating process. Reporting to the Head of Modelling & Quantitative Analytics, this leader will shape transparent, predictive analytics and tools for Moody’s ratings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in credit modeling, statistical analysis, validation, or equivalent.
• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics or equivalent.
• Experience managing global quantitative teams and leveraging diverse skillsets.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence models and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead model development, calibration, maintenance and enhancement to ensure best in class analytical approaches.
• Develop strategic quantitative solutions to maintain Moody’s as the Rating Agency of Choice.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align priorities and model design with business needs.
• Oversee the model development pipeline with clear progress updates to senior management.
• Identify process and technology improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Build and retain a high-performing global team with strong quantitative and leadership capabilities.
• Advance innovation including responsible use of AI and machine learning in model development.
• Foster an inclusive environment with diverse perspectives and continuous learning.
• Set leadership example with integrity, trust and clarity for the team.
