Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director - Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to lead the BISO function across CVS Health lines of business, embedding security strategy and risk-based decision making into the enterprise.

The role requires senior-level leadership, strong communication with executives, and ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and governance. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, bonus opportunities, and equity awards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in senior leadership roles with responsibility for strategy and stakeholder management.
• 10+ years in a GRC or technical security program at enterprise scale.
• 5+ years as a BISO or Head BISO.
• 5+ years with two or more security control frameworks and alignment to regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, HITRUST, HIPAA, PCI).
• 5+ years in program and project management leading cross-functional initiatives.
• 5+ years partnering with business unit leaders to translate cybersecurity risk into business terms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leadership and ensure cybersecurity practices are embedded across initiatives.
• Define and report KPIs and metrics for senior-leader audiences.
• Lead risk management strategy and drive prioritization and execution.
• Lead or sponsor large cross-functional initiatives with timely delivery.
• Create clear communications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement across the BISO function.
• Coach and develop BISO team members and promote accountability.
