Job summary

Walker-Miller Energy Services seeks a Director to lead enterprise safety, fleet management, and facilities operations across a dispersed workforce. You will drive safety strategy, governance, and continuous improvement while collaborating across functions to reduce risk and enable sustainable growth.

The role focuses on scalable standards, incident prevention, training, and performance measurement to support resilient operations and long-term business success in Detroit and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, engineering, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in safety, facilities, fleet operations, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance.
• Experience managing distributed teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Proven ability to develop policies, governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
• PMP/Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide safety strategies, policies, and training programs for diverse locations.
• Ensure OSHA compliance across locations and operating environments.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Establish and report safety performance metrics and governance.
• Oversee safety communications, risk assessments, and workplace inspections.
• Partner with leaders to reinforce accountability and safety culture.
