Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks a Director of Enterprise Quality & Configuration Management to lead quality and configuration across hardware production and services. Reporting to the VP, Contracts, Supply Chain and Quality, you will drive compliance, continuous improvement, and enterprise-scale quality maturity.

You will shepherd two major defense programs at the Franklin, MA site, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure first article readiness, production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 12+ years in Aerospace & Defense Quality and Configuration Management.
• Proven leadership of quality teams and programs, including DoD exposure.
• Experience preparing executive-level briefings and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Hands-on ownership of configuration management on hardware programs and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality engineering professionals and drive enterprise-wide quality strategy.
• Own product quality on production programs including first article, readiness reviews, and government acceptance readiness.
• Oversee nonconformance, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and cost of quality.
• Interface with customers, government representatives, and DCMA on audits and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies across programs.
• Manage compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and CMMI-SVC ML3 across US entities.
• Ensure robust configuration management with baselines, change control boards, and traceability.
• Set supplier quality requirements and manage supplier first article and corrective actions.
