Job summary

The YMCA Eagan branch seeks an Executive Director to lead operations, advance the Y's mission, grow membership, and drive fundraising. You will build and empower staff and volunteers, foster community partnerships, and ensure an exceptional member experience across all programs.

This role requires strategic thinking, fiscal stewardship, and collaboration with Association leadership to deliver impactful community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human services; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of executive management experience including financial stewardship, strategic team leadership, operational oversight, and volunteer leadership.
• Fiscal management; staff management and development; and volunteer development.
• Minimum of three (3) years of leading, building and working with boards and committees with a track record of leading successful fundraising campaigns.
• Ability to lead multiple teams in a matrixed environment to achieve results.
• Strategic and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and develop diverse teams, build consensus and make difficult decisions.
• Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills include the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven record of successful operation management.
• Ability to think conceptually, analyze and solve problems, and demonstrate assertiveness to manage the scope and diversity of responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other computer programs necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Job description

Lead the Eagan YMCA branch with a focus on community impact, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and mission advancement. As Executive Director, you'll serve as the primary leader of branch operations, driving membership growth, fundraising success, staff development, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships while ensuring exceptional member experience.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall administration of their Y operations in accordance with the policies established by the Association as approved by the General Board of Directors. The incumbent is accountable for overall customer impact, the fiscal operation, community relations, and all branch programs and fundraising.

Required:
