Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC) seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead the organization, partnering with the Board, staff, and membership. The role focuses on strategy, governance, and sustaining impact in the field of thanatology.

The Executive Director will oversee operations, financial planning, fundraising, and program development while representing ADEC to diverse stakeholders globally.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Five or more years in senior nonprofit management and leadership.
• Experience collaborating with a volunteer Board of Directors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event planning and management and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
• Maintain and enhance financial sustainability and reporting.
• Represent the organization to members, donors, and the public; work with staff and committees.
