Job summary

PHD Media in San Francisco seeks a Senior Director of Data Science to lead the data science team, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver predictive models and insights for advertising and marketing tech. You will communicate findings effectively and drive data-driven decision making across campaigns.

You will guide analysis, build scalable ML solutions, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize media investments and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in predictive modeling, databases, and ML.
• 8+ years with Python, SQL, R.
• Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder management.
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, info management, or related fields.
• Experience with high-volume databases and marketing analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with clients at peer level to inform updates.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on marketing strategy for clients.
• Coach Data Science team and standardize processes.
• Present complex models and dashboards through data storytelling.
• Deploy ML capabilities on large datasets and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate on analysis parameters with Advertiser and Digital teams.
• Evaluate model performance and deployment cutoffs.
