Job summary

The Colonial Theatre seeks an Executive Director to lead its nonprofit arts center in Phoenixville, PA. The ED will provide strategic leadership, strengthen operations and financial sustainability, and expand the Theatre’s community reach and impact.

Located in Phoenixville, the Theatre is a historic cultural anchor with a broad program in film, live performance, and education. The ED will work with a strong board to advance philanthropy, partnerships, and audience growth.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit arts, culture, or entertainment.
• Demonstrated success in growing contributed revenue and major gifts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership that translates priorities into organizational goals and performance expectations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support sustainability.
• Lead fundraising strategy, cultivate major donors, and expand partnerships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Board on governance, planning, and organizational development.
• Represent the Theatre regionally as a chief ambassador and advocate for the arts.
