Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking an Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy. Working with senior academic and development leaders, the ED will build relationships with corporations, foundations, and associations to secure seven-figure gifts and multi-million dollar goals.

The role requires deep knowledge of donor relations, strong presentations, strategic planning, and a track record in higher education fundraising.

Qualifications

• Expert fundraising and donor relations knowledge.
• Expert knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication, with persuasive presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and project management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality across complex donor relationships.
• Extensive experience in crafting proposals and stewardship plans.
• Proven success in higher education fundraising and major gifts.
• Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years in fundraising or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CFR team to strengthen relationships with corporations, foundations and associations.
• Develop strategies for major gifts and grants with existing and aspirational funders.
• Monitor stewardship plans and donor engagement to maximize investments.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and researchers on ORUs and initiatives to align funding opportunities.
• Aim to exceed annual fundraising goals and expand university support.
