• Lead MACTE’s public presence as the voice of Maine’s CTE organizations.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with Maine business, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Secure sponsorships and manage vendor relations to fund MACTE activities.
• Coordinate and fund MACTE’s three premier annual events: Fall Conference, Student of the Year Banquet, and MACTE Summit.
• Strategically grow MACTE’s capacity and pave the way toward a full-time Executive Director role.

About The Opportunity

Role: Executive Director Consultant

Investment: $25,000 – $30,000 via a 1‑year part‑time contract

Reports To: MACTE President/Executive Board

Commitment: Flexible scheduling of 10–30 hours weekly, aligning with seasonal peaks like our Summit and annual conferences/summit.

A Vision for Advancement

• Revenue Generation: Achieve a minimum 50% increase in annual sponsorship funding throughout the contract term.
• Network Cultivation: Broaden the landscape of active business and vendor alliances that champion the MACTE mission.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As the Executive Director Consultant, you will be the driving force behind MACTE’s public presence and financial growth. Your core objectives will be:

• The Face of MACTE: Serve as the lead representative and passionate advocate for all 27 Career and Technical Education (CTE) schools across the state of Maine.
• Business Partnerships: Actively seek, develop, and nurture strategic business partnerships that align with our mission to prepare students for post‑secondary academic success and career placement.
• Sponsorships & Vendor Relations: Cultivate robust sponsorship and vendor relationships to secure financial support for the organization.
• Event Funding: Drive the funding efforts for our three premier annual events that celebrate and advance CTE in Maine:
  • The MACTE Fall Conference
  • The Student of the Year Banquet
  • The MACTE Summit
• Strategic Growth: Leverage these new partnerships and funding streams to scale the capacity of MACTE, paving the way for this consultant role to transition into a fully funded, full‑time Executive Director position.
