Job summary

Woodbury County Conservation Commission is seeking a dedicated Chief Administrative Officer to oversee administrative, recreational, educational services, operations and maintenance, and capital development for the County’s park and conservation areas. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate grants, and liaise with law enforcement and community partners.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in park administration or related field, five years of administrative or management

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in park administration, fish and wildlife biology, or related conservation field.
• Five years administrative or management experience in parks or conservation programs.
• Master degree in Public Administration or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Be on call 24 hours per day to handle major problems and provide consultation.
• Supervise designated personnel and oversee staff performance.
• Develop and manage annual department budgets and long-range plans.
• Write, coordinate and administer grants and supplemental funds.
• Coordinate contracts, bids and vendor relations for department needs.
