Job summary

Women’s Impact Fund is seeking an experienced nonprofit leader to serve as Executive Director, reporting to the Board and guiding growth and impact in Charlotte. This role oversees fundraising, membership engagement, programs, communications, and external relations while building partnerships with staff, volunteers, nonprofits, and community partners.

The ideal candidate brings deep nonprofit experience, commitment to equity and inclusion, and a collaborative leadership style.

Qualifications

• Passion for the mission and commitment to equity, inclusion, and trust-based philanthropy.
• Strategic and relational leadership with boards, volunteers, and partners.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Operational and financial acumen with budgeting and fundraising.
• Strong ties to the Charlotte community and cross-sector partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Board and committees to align goals, priorities, and operations.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture across the organization.
• Lead, manage, and inspire a small staff and a large volunteer base.
• Serve as the public representative and spokesperson for WIF.
• Cultivate relationships with members, donors, and community stakeholders.
• Lead fundraising efforts from members, sponsors, grants, and the community.
• Ensure sound financial management and operational oversight, including budgeting and reporting.
• Guide strategic planning, innovation, and organizational evolution.
• Support member recruitment, retention, and engagement.
