This full-time role combines hands-on community leadership with executive responsibilities, working closely with the Board and regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in community, non-profit, disability support, healthcare, or similarly complex organizations.
• Experience leading and developing diverse teams of leaders and employees.
• Strong judgement and ability to make thoughtful decisions, including difficult ones.
• Experience managing organizational operations, priorities, systems, and change.
• Sound financial understanding, including budgets, financial reporting, and resource management.
• Strong communication skills, including listening well and building trust.
• Experience working with a Board, senior leadership, government, and community partners.
• Commitment to person-centered support, rights, dignity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for L’Arche Homefires and ensure mission, values, and core member commitments are lived across the community.
• Lead and develop the Senior Leadership Team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and compliance; manage organizational priorities.
• Represent Homefires externally and maintain relationships with Board, regulators, funders, and partners.
• Balance day-to-day operations with strategic leadership and change management.
• Foster a culture of openness to feedback, learning, and growth; support succession planning.
