Job summary

GiGi’s Playhouse is seeking an Executive Director for its Fort Wayne, IN location to lead fundraising, community engagement, and operational excellence. The role combines developing the local strategic plan with hands-on management of staff, volunteers, and programs, ensuring sustainability and strong donor relations.

You will work closely with the local Board to align mission with growth, expand partnerships, and drive high-quality programs that empower families affected by Down syndrome.

Qualifications

• 7+ years management/leadership in nonprofit or related field.
• Extensive community connections and board experience.
• Marketing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning in collaboration with the Board.
• Oversee fundraising, grant writing, donor outreach and events.
• Manage staff, volunteers, and program delivery with the local team.
• Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial sustainability.
• Represent GiGi’s Playhouse publicly to donors, schools, and community partners.
• Build and engage a Family Committee and strengthen community relationships.
