Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks an Executive Director, Clinical Development (MD) to lead strategy for multiple myeloma and cell therapy programs. You will oversee trial design, medical monitoring, regulatory interactions, and external collaborations.

Based in Santa Monica, CA with travel, you will manage cross-functional teams and shape late-stage development through Ph2-3, publishing outcomes and guiding program decisions.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with 8+ years of experience in clinical, scientific, or drug development, preferably in hematology, oncology, or cellular therapies.
• Experience in late-stage (Ph2-3) clinical trials in cancer therapies.
• Strong strategic leadership and communication skills; familiarity with GCP, ICH guidelines and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire clinical trial portfolio, develop and execute clinical development plans, lead protocol design, medical monitoring, and regulatory interactions, and manage cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• MD/DO with 8+ years of experience in clinical, scientific, or drug development, preferably with biopharma industry exposure in hematology, oncology, or cellular therapies;
• Experience in late-stage (Ph2-3) clinical trials in cancer therapies;
• Strong strategic, leadership, and communication skills;
• Familiarity with GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory processes.

Preferred

• Board certification in hematology or oncology, prior leadership of high-complexity development programs;
• Experience with CAR T-cell therapies, and managing external partners.
