Job summary

Southwest Oregon Independent Practice Association (SWOIPA) seeks a Clinic Operations Executive to lead a new multidisciplinary outpatient clinic in Coos Bay, OR. You will drive design, implementation, and day-to-day administration, delivering patient-centered, team-based care while applying lean principles to control costs.

The role reports to the CEO and involves budgeting, credentialing, staffing, and regulatory compliance to support high-quality care and clinic viability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred; otherwise Bachelor’s with strong experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive management experience in clinic operations.
• Experience supervising clinical and non-clinical teams.
• Experience in fiscal- and budgetary management.
• Prior experience designing and establishing a clinic from the ground up is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Operations: Manage day-to-day clinical operations and facilities, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to protocols and regulations.
• Staff Management: Supervise administrative and clinical staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and retention.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of healthcare regulations and ensure compliance with laws and accreditation standards.
• Clinic Coordination: Oversee patient care processes with integrated team-based care and optimal patient experience.
• Provider Credentialing: Oversee credentialing and recredentialing of providers with the Medical Executive.
• Payroll and Personnel Management: Oversee payroll operations and maintenance of employee records.
• Quality Assurance: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate equipment, supplies, and staffing to meet patient needs.
