Job summary

Southwest Oregon Independent Practice Association (SWOIPA) seeks an experienced Clinic Operations Executive to lead a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic from design through full implementation. This role emphasizes patient-centered, team-based care, lean efficiency, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic setting.

The Executive Director will develop budgets, oversee medical and administrative staff, and partner with the Medical Executive to ensure high-quality care and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s may be considered with strong experience.
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible management experience in clinic operations.
• Experience designing, developing, and establishing a clinic from the ground up preferred; MGMA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and facilities, ensuring smooth functioning and regulatory adherence.
• Supervise administrative and clinical staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards across all operations.
• Coordinate patient care processes to support integrated team-based care and efficient patient flow.
• Oversee credentialing and recredentialing of providers with Medical Executive leadership.
• Manage payroll operations, taxes, benefits, and payroll records in line with policy and law.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, monitor outcomes, and report to the governing board.
• Allocate resources and department costs to meet patient needs and improve efficiency.
• Communicate company information to staff and stakeholders; ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
