Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Executive Director for Integrative Sciences focused on cardiovascular external innovation. You will identify, evaluate, and advance high-value opportunities and assets, collaborating across Global Research, Early Development, Business Development, and external partners.

The role emphasizes interaction between cardiovascular and cardiometabolic diseases, with potential governance responsibilities and board observer duties as needed.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent advanced scientific training in cardiovascular biology or related discipline.
• 10+ years of drug discovery and/or early development experience in pharma/biotech.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular and cardiometabolic disease biology.
• Experience shaping external collaboration plans and negotiating with external partners.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate internal Cardiovascular Research priorities and align external search and triage with BMS principles.
• Lead the Cardiovascular triage process within Integrative Sciences with disciplined evaluation of external opportunities.
• Identify and advance collaborations with academic, biotech, platform tech, and pre-IND/IND-stage assets.
• Shape collaboration plans with clear scientific objectives, milestones, governance, and success measures.
