Job summary

The Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. seeks an accomplished General Manager, Campus and Event Operations, to lead the institution’s operational strategy and revenue‑generating functions across its venue portfolio.

You will balance artistic ambition with sound business practices, strengthening earned revenue streams and driving organizational sustainability. As the senior operational leader, you will oversee four direct reports and multiple departments, including Guest Operations, Box Office,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership in live events, arts, or venue management.
• Strong track record of P&L ownership and financial stewardship.
• Experience leading complex, multi-unit operations in NYC or similar markets.
• Proven ability to balance artistic vision with operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee P&L performance across operations and events.
• Lead earnings growth through rentals, catering, concessions, and box office.
• Direct venue operations, facilities, security, and guest experience.
• Manage Rentals & Events, Production, and Front‑of‑House services.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high standards of service.
• Lead strategic scheduling, pricing, and client relationships for growth.
