Job summary

Janux Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director, Process Development & Manufacturing to provide strategic and technical leadership for development, scale-up, tech transfer, and clinical manufacturing of Janux therapeutic candidates, advancing the pipeline from research and early clinical development into clinical manufacturing and through late-stage development.

The role leads internal teams and oversees CDMOs across cell line development, culture, purification, and DP campaigns,

Qualifications

PhD in chemical engineering or related field with 12+ years in biotech/biopharma.
Extensive biologics process development and manufacturing experience.
Leadership of external CDMOs and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and technical leadership for cell line, cell culture, and downstream process development for drug substance manufacturing.
Lead development and optimization of scalable, phase-appropriate manufacturing processes with focus on yield, quality, and cost.
Provide technical direction for mammalian cell line development, culture, harvest, chromatography, filtration, UF/DF, and other unit operations.
Lead late-stage process development and characterization strategies to establish process understanding and manufacturing readiness.
Oversee process characterization, control strategy development, validation readiness, and lifecycle management.
Oversee CDMO management for technology transfer, GMP manufacturing, and investigations.
