The William A. Harrison Jr. Foundation in Richmond, VA seeks an Executive Director to lead operations, fundraising, and external relations, ensuring donor continuity and program growth.

You will work with the Board to advance animal-welfare initiatives and community partnerships. This full-time, exempt role is hybrid (3 days/week in the office) with a salary range of $100,000–$125,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Five+ years of nonprofit management or executive leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communications with public-facing experience.
• Proven ability to build donor, partner, and civic stakeholder relationships.
• Track record in fundraising across individual, foundation and corporate gifts.
• Experience reporting to a nonprofit board and managing governance matters.
• Financial fluency with budgeting, audits and reporting standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to lead staff, volunteers, and programs in a diverse community.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for daily operations, fundraising, and external relations.
• Oversee budgeting, financial health, and regulatory compliance.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage staff, including the General Manager of Furbish Thrift.
• Develop and implement fundraising plans, donor stewardship, and events.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with donors, partners, and community groups.
• Report impact and performance to the Board and funders.
• Represent the Foundation publicly at events and media opportunities.
