Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) seeks a Director of Practice Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for MAHEC’s ambulatory clinical practices. This role oversees operations across all clinic locations and partners with service line leaders, chairs, and faculty to optimize access, quality, patient experience, workforce engagement, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a healthcare/administration field.
• 7–10 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience.
• Minimum of five years leading managers or multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations of all MAHEC ambulatory clinics.
• Develop and monitor operational strategies, policies, and workflows for efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with service line leadership to identify growth and innovation opportunities.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets with finance and leaders.
• Monitor productivity and financial performance to identify improvements.
• Partner with revenue cycle leadership to optimize financial sustainability.
• Establish KPIs for access, satisfaction, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across locations.
• Support learner education and training through clinic operations.
