Job summary

Drexel University is seeking an Executive Director of Alumni Engagement to lead strategy, operations, and programming that strengthen relationships with alumni and donors. This hands-on leadership role will develop a holistic engagement strategy while managing a growing team of professionals.

The role reports to the AVP of Alumni and Constituent Engagement and focuses on building a vibrant alumni community, campus partnerships, and expanding volunteer and philanthropic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years in relationship management, program development, and alumni engagement.
• Experience supervising staff and leading teams.
• Strong organizational and multi-project management skills.
• Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for the growing Alumni Engagement team and programs.
• Design and evaluate a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy.
• Provide leadership and supervision to nine engagement professionals.
• Build strategic relationships with university leaders and campus partners.
• Lead initiatives to increase engagement across diverse alumni populations.
• Serve as ambassador for alumni engagement at events and donor functions.
• Oversee budget, resources, and program assessment.
• Establish KPIs and report outcomes to leadership.
• Collaborate with frontline fundraising staff to strengthen donor pipeline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
