Job summary

Drexel University is seeking an Executive Director for Alumni Communities and Strategic Initiatives to lead strategy across alumni relations, volunteer engagement, travel programming, and donor events. This role will identify and cultivate alumni volunteers to lead reunion efforts, support admissions and yield events, and develop a comprehensive travel program with external partners.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-person work 2-3 days a week and frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent with suitable experience.
• Minimum of 7 years in relationship management, program development, and international outreach.
• Experience supervising staff and managing events and budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a frequent basis (monthly).
• Valid US passport.

Responsibilities

• Manage Drexel's Alumni Reunion Program by hosting three reunion classes during Alumni Weekend.
• Recruit volunteers from reunion classes to host events and manage planning.
• Support Reunion Giving to grow annual giving by class year.
• Support recruitment and yield events with admissions and enrollment teams.
• Develop and implement a global engagement strategy with international partners.
• Supervise staff to support reunion and yield events.
• Oversee the Drexel Travel Program and partnerships with travel companies.
