Job summary

The University of Minnesota Alumni Association seeks a Director of International Alumni and Travel to lead the global alumni travel portfolio and international engagement initiatives. This high-impact role operates with an organizational lens, overseeing a portfolio with worldwide reach and revenue targets.

The successful candidate will design itineraries, manage vendor contracts, mentor staff, and advance cross-border alumni programming in collaboration with campus partners.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS degree and at least six years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing relationships with diverse individuals and communities.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs and events.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Minnesota Alumni Travel Program strategy, curation, and revenue targets.
• Develop international alumni engagement strategies and global networks.
• Cultivate partnerships with faculty, study-abroad initiatives, and international alumni events.
• Manage vendors, contracts, and budget to ensure program profitability.
• Oversee hosts, travelers, and issue resolution to maintain a positive UMAA experience.
• Represent UMAA at events and coordinate with campus partners.
