Qualifications

• MD required.
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Advanced training and expertise in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within a major Advanced Heart Failure, LVAD, and/or Heart Transplant program.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Strong interest in system development, physician engagement, and network growth.
• Academic accomplishments consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level preferred.
• Proven track record in clinical research and program development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the statewide Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Network for UNC Health.
• Develop and implement a shared vision for network growth, clinical excellence, quality improvement, innovation, and patient access.
• Foster alignment across academic and community-based programs and strengthen referral pathways.
• Advance the system’s mission in patient care, research, and education.
• Oversee clinical responsibilities related to advanced heart failure, transplantation, and LVAD programs.
