Job summary
The University of Rochester in Rochester, NY seeks a nationally recognized leader in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology to serve as Director of the Advanced Heart Failure Program within the Division of Cardiology. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape clinical care, research, and education while collaborating with surgical and medical directors.

Qualifications
- MD or equivalent medical degree and NY licensure.
- Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant.
- Academic appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level.
- Experience leading advanced heart failure and transplant programs.
- Strong regulatory and credentialing knowledge.
- Commitment to education, mentorship, and scholarly impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the advanced heart failure and transplant program.
- Direct inpatient and outpatient operations including transplant and VADs.
- Oversee quality improvement, protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor cardiologists and advanced practice providers.
- Grow the ACGME‑accredited AHF Fellowship program.
- Advance clinical, translational, or outcomes research.
- Foster collaboration across specialties and education of trainees.
