Job summary

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a management or executive leadership role, preferably within a health care organization or similarly complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement accounting strategies, policies and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
• Oversee accounting operations: general ledger, cash accounting and analytics, investments, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and close processes.
• Manage cash accounting applications and treasury support; ensure liquidity, debt management, and investment strategies.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial reports and reconciliations.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, IRS rules and other applicable standards.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency.
• Lead and develop accounting team; set goals and oversee compensation and performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with historical data and trend analysis.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to audit findings.
• Engage stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly.
