  • Strong interpersonal, public speaking, writing, and media relations skills.
  • Ability to provide spiritual leadership and strategic planning.
  • Ability to work independently and develop organizational goals.
  • Proficient with computers and standard business software.

Responsibilities

  • Make prayer an integral part of the day-to-day operation.
  • Develop and revise operational policies and procedures in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Provide leadership and managerial support to staff.
  • Coordinate with staff and Treasurer to prepare the annual budget for Board approval.
  • Ensure accurate financial records are maintained and reported to the Board monthly.
  • Oversee expenditures and budgeted expenses, including purchase orders.
  • Oversee reporting to the Board in partnership with the Client Services Director.
  • Coordinate the annual ministry calendar and oversee events.
  • Ensure policies are followed and new policies implemented.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss client needs and updates.
  • Attend Board meetings and present quarterly reports.
  • Oversee donor management systems with the Executive Assistant.
  • Plan and lead fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Develop programs to engage churches and mission boards for support.
  • Maintain donor communication and community visibility.
  • Collaborate to identify grant opportunities and funding sources.
  • Educate churches and the community about our mission and services.
  • Build relationships with pastors and local churches.
  • Represent the organization in community and media opportunities.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS

The Executive Director has the responsibility for ensuring the effective operation of the organization, including overseeing administration, programs, budgeting, staffing, and the strategic plan. The Executive Director's primary duties include managing and overseeing daily operations, fundraising, marketing, media relations, and community outreach.

SUPERVISES

Client Services Director (CSD), Executive Assistant, and other paid staff and volunteers when the Client Services Director is not present.

Full-Time Salaried Position

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is passionately committed to the mission and vision of the organization.
  2. Exhibits a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
  3. Agrees with and is willing to uphold the organization's Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies and procedures.
  4. Must be in consistent fellowship with a local church.
  5. Bachelor's or Master's degree desired, preferably in a helping profession or related field, or equivalent experience.
  6. One year of volunteer experience in a ministry setting.
  7. Two years of management experience in a helping profession or equivalent leadership experience.
  8. Medical background and bilingual skills are beneficial but not required.
  9. Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, problem solving, and media relations.
  10. Ability to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to staff and volunteers.
  11. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and organizational goals.
  12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  13. Proficient with computers and standard business software.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration

  9. Ensure organizational policies are followed and coordinate the development and implementation of new policies.
  10. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss client needs, operational updates, and staff development.
  11. Attend all Board meetings and present quarterly reports.
  12. Oversee donor management systems in partnership with the Executive Assistant.

Development

  1. Plan, coordinate, and lead major fundraising events, direct mail campaigns, and newsletters.
  2. Develop and implement a program to engage churches and mission boards for financial support.
  3. Maintain regular communication with donors.
  4. Increase community visibility and evaluate opportunities for organizational growth.
  5. Gather feedback and assess ministry goals to strengthen programs and services.
  6. Develop short-term and long-term objectives to accomplish organizational goals.
  7. Prepare and present an annual development plan to the Board.
  8. Collaborate with staff to identify and pursue grant opportunities and other funding sources.

Public Relations

  1. Educate churches, pastors, community groups, healthcare professionals, and the public about the organization's mission and services.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with pastors and local churches.
  3. Develop relationships with community organizations that serve client needs.
  4. Represent the organization and its services within the community and through media opportunities.
  5. Develop, oversee, and update promotional and marketing materials.
